King Tours, ones of Canada's most reputable tour companies, offers 1 day tours of Niagara Falls. The tour price includes pick-up & drop-off from any locations in Metro Toronto that you specify.
Welland Canal
As we near Niagara Falls, the tour passes the Welland Canal, which links Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. It is 27.6 mi (44.4 km) long, with a minimum depth of 30 ft (9 m), and forms a vital part of the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes Waterway. Eight locks, each 262 metres (859 feet) long, 24 metres (80 feet) wide, and 9 metres (30 Feet) deep) overcome the 99 metre (326 feet) difference in elevation between the lakes and bypass Niagara Falls.
Free Wine Tasting
The Niagara region has become famous for its ice wines. The tour stops at one of these famous wineries which gives you the opportunity to try up to 3 free glasses of wine. The sampling is free of charge and it includes a taste of Niagara's famous Ice Wine. You also have the opportunity to buy directly from the winery. The value of this stop alone is worth the cost of the entire tour!
Niagara-on-the-Lake
Visit Canada's first capital and find out why Niagara-on-the-Lake was voted Canada's most beautiful town. Please note, this tour is one of the few tour companies allowed to stop in Niagara-on-the-Lake! "NOTL" boasts lines of elegant clapboard houses surrounded by well-kept gardens, all spread along tree-lined streets. The town, much of which dates from the early nineteenth century, was originally known as Newark and became the first capital of Upper Canada in 1792
Souvenirs
Of course a trip without buying souvenirs would not be complete. So we stop briefly in an area known for its souvenir shops
Botanical Clock and the Niagara Fruit Belt
As we pass through the Niagara Fruit Belt, we stop to visit the Botanical Clock. This clock is decorated by Niagara Falls Ministry of Parks and Recreation and has a different flower design every season
Maid of the Mist & Journey Behind the Falls
Your tour package includes a choice of a breathtaking boat ride (Maid of the Mist) that takes you almost under Niagara Falls, or admission to actually walk behind The Falls in a series of tunnels and lookouts. Raincoats provided (and you'll need them!).
Helicopter Ride Option ($75 CAN)
If you desire, for an additional $75 Canadian, you can see Niagara Falls from a bird's eye view. The 20-minute trip will circle over Niagara Falls, fly over the Niagara River, briefly enter US airspace, fly over the US power station, circle over the town of Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Winery Region.
